Homeschooling Experience?
Yes, We Have That. Sister Nasima has taught classes, individuals and small groups. She has her own teacher-made materials, but is also familiar with Time4Learning, Forest Trail Academy, Florida Virtual School, American High School, Calvert Education, Saxon Math, Nancy Larson Science, and Complete Curriculum.org. Your child will be assessed to help you align with your state's curriculum, the Common Core and/or NGSS (the newest science curriculum).
Ms. Ali can guide you in making your own curriculum and unit plans. For example, Ms. Ali was asked to design a course for eighth grade English. She integrated Common Core and Maryland K-12 curricula to plan a three Unit seven-month course customized for the student who was also memorizing Qur'an fulltime. QAS Astronomy Workbook
$15.00
If you have elementary or middle school students, this workbook will hold their attention. The pages complement what they are learning in their regular science curriculum -- with Islamic priniciples. Visit Amazon for more information. https://www.amazon.com/Quran-Science-Astronomy-Nasima-Ali/dp/0996731903 HeartSoft: Physical World
$15.00
For older students, we produced HeartSoft. We ask the older student to reflect on, appreciate, or otherwise express their heart's connection to the wonders of Allah's creation as expressed in these ayaat. The student is expected to already know the scientific phenomena mentioned.
An index is given so that the teacher can match the subject of the verse to what his or her class is doing. The teacher will even have 'extra' verses that they can use, which are ayaat that we have not written a question for, since the subject (rotation of earth, day turns into night, etc.) has been covered already in another question on another page of the workbook. But we know that you as the teacher may need these verses just to start your class, or to focus on some other aspect of the concept. The beauty is that these are customizable! These 55 pages should carry a Physics unit in middle school, or an entire year of Physics class if used once a week. To purchase a hardcopy of this workbook, please go to Amazon... here is a link to the Amazon USA, but we are on all Amazon marketplaces. |
Don't Forget the PSAT/SAT or GED
Sometimes we forget about these assessments, but they are keys to good job opportunities, special programs, and scholarships. I have been working with many students to help them score better on these tests. Individually, they are getting time, quality teaching, and planning advice they need from an experienced and concerned educator. That's more than what is offered in "test prep" group courses. |
